Mayor Luis Chavit Singson continues to deliver priority infrastructure development programs. Vice Mayor Atty. Pablito V. Sanidad Sr., members of the Sangguniang Bayan ng Narvacan (Engr. Joseph Tejada, Dr. Edna Cabalo Sanidad, Joven Ampo Jr., Charito Copiozo Viloria, Atty. Bernadette Cauton Lim, Lito Caballes, Zaldy Clarin, and Reina Alexa Antolin), together with the Municipal Project Inspection Team, Caloy Valera, Punong Barangay, school officials, teachers and leaders lead the ceremony.

New Narvacan Farmers Public Market

The Municipal Government of Narvacan, led by Mayor Luis Chavit Singson and Vice Mayor Atty. Pablito V. Sanidad Sr., inspired by the Build! Build! Build! Program of the National Government, upon assumption of their office implemented the Narvacan Build! Build! Build! aimed to begin the “Golden Age” of true Growth & Development in the Municipality of Narvacan.

On the historical day of March 4, 2022, this “Golden Age” was recognized as their key infrastructure project (New Narvacan Farmers Public Market) was inaugurated by no less than the President of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The President was joined by National Security Adviser Ret. Gen. Hermogenes Esperon Jr., Presidential Adviser for Northern Luzon Atty. Raul Lambino, Department of Agriculture Sec. William Dar, Senator Bong Go, members of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, led by Gov. Ryan Singson and Vice Gov. Jerry Singson, former Congressman Eric Singson, as well as several Mayors and Vice Mayors of Ilocos Sur.

The New Narvacan Farmers Public Market features a “World Class” design and is the largest Public Market in the Province of Ilocos Sur. It is one of the only Public Markets and the first in the Province that integrates the concept of Solar Energy, providing not only clean public service but clean energy as well.

The project aims to provide local farmers the optimum location to market and distribute their produce, as well as attract business development in the Municipality to increase employment, income, tourism, and improve the quality of life for all Narvacaneans.
